Look great! I don't mind a copycat as the idea is a solid one. The LED pods from SuperBrite have all been the same size so far but I've only used the RED and AMBER ones. They also offer a WHITE that is solid white and a bit more expensive.
5 years and not a single dot has gone out and the flasher unit still works but the module I had for the third tail light (high center) that would flash twice then go solid with every brake pedal press expired after a couple of years so it's just wired with the rest of the brake lights.
They would have been Plug and Play since I have a towing package (the flashers don't care about current) but I opted for a third brake light that flashes twice then goes solid for each application of the brake pedal using a module from the same LED supplier, and a flasher module for the brake...
Niice!
I too bought the red roundels for side lights (only one per side though) but haven't installed them. I intentionally left the lights protruding in order to be ever so slightly more visible from the side. I have amber lights at the rear of each front fender to help in that department.
My homemade LED tail light housings turned 5 this month...
here's the build thread....

IF you're running LEDs... there's a module you can buy from SuperBrightLEDs.com that will strobe briefly (just a second or two) when brake lights are activated but then stay on solid.
I use such a module for my 3rd brake light (LED) alone. I have a separate module that flashes ALL of my brake...
Just like the light enclosures I made it myself, primarily from scrap. The scraps came from an auto shop alignment rack that was being discarded... the main crossbeams are "D" shaped 1/4" wall, and the diamond plate was from the drive up ramps.
A: Yes, those are the lights I used, they come in RED, AMBER, WHITE.
B: No, they do not come with a grommet...and the grommets they THINK work with these lights are f'ing HUGE and wouldn't fit the way I used the elements by themselves.
C: I simply used RTV silicone to mount them from...
Wiring.... The reds operate as Brake/Tail, the ambers as Turn/Hazard, but with a switch and separate flasher the reds rapid flash/emergency vehicle style.
Actual units... from SuperBrightLEDS.com as well as flasher modules.
FYI.... You can wire LEDs to flasher controlled circuits directly...
Here's how I addressed making my own LED tail light enclosures out of 16g sheet from the hardware store.

And apologies for the mixed up upload.... it's my first attempt.
I faced this same question early last year when I finally got tired of going through the mini TREs that Rusty's "heavy duty" steering set-up required. I was also running a Rusty's trackbar that wanted to get rid of.
I decided to build a trackbar using all BallisticFab stuff, upper and lower...
