    I should clarify, when I say the driver seat bracket is broken, the bolt holding the front left part of the seat cushion to the sliding frame pulled through (common issue for tall guys in late model XJ's). It is perfectly driveable, the seat just rocks back if you want, lol! I'll be working to...

    Adj. MAP Mod on a newer XJ?

    Any updates on this, I have a 2001 and am about to build one myself. Please anyone with the newer XJ's offer your experiences. I know this is an old thread, but there isn't a whole lot on here for MAP adjusters for 97+.

    XJ clunking noise

    Try cranking your steering wheel all the way in either direction and then driving slowly forward. If you hear the clunking then, it is most likely U-joints. I just had the exact same problem. With the wheel straight, you shouldn't get the noise, unless they are really bad. I take that back...

    best roof rack

    For all out strength.. I vote for Kargomaster, pricey though. And rust will set in like any steel rack. But I had my 31" spare mounted, camping gear packed all around the spare, and me standing on top of the spare tying down gear... the floor rails didn't even flex.

    Which replacement front rotors would work best?

    I am betting that the major factor in the cost is this: low volume. They probably paid over 300K in tooling alone. Engineering, Design , and Development probably cost over 200K. Total yearly sales, maybe 10,000 kits? Tooling set-up charges are a bitch also on low volume. There's 2 models...
