another good check to see if its your E.M. is seafoam. follow the directions, and watch for smoke from the engine bay, staring at the E.M. Doesn't sound like exhaust, but im no expert

Take your time, and keep turning it, until it falls in. It took me a couple hours to put mine in, but I take my time to make sure it was right. You will know when it goes.

My 88 XJ starts every time. Too bad the 242 is toast. The TJ's 231 works flawlessly, but it barely starts, and mileage is baaaad. Can't win.

Really? Window down, weatherstrip, and waterdam out. two or more set screws around the stationary window frame of the door. when those are out, I imagine the window tilting foward. replace is reverse.
