    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

Ok, ok. Inverted Y, fair enough. Either way, I am somewhat interested in the raised drivers side TRE. I will do a search, but any information on this would be appreciated. Also, what specifically if the reason to go over the knuckle aside from higher clearance? Is this something that can be...

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

I did notice that in the picture it looked good. It seems easier to see in the picture than in person for some reason. I agree that the track bar and drag link look to be at pretty much the same angle, but are there any options to help get the tie rod and sleeve more horizontal. I would think...

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

I was just looking at the pictures and realized I didn't get the actual pitman arm, hopefully you can see what needs to be seen. Sorry about that. -Aaron

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

Hmm, Interesting. It looks lower, but looks can be decieving, especially since the style is different. Regardless, here are the pictures. Let me know what you think. -Aaron

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

Re: P0720 Speed Sensor Output - TEMPORARY THREAD HIJACK I'm not really familiar with the transmissions in these, but I tried to look up a VSS for an 1989 where I ordered mine and found nothing. I thought the sensors were the same in the earlier ones and the older ones though, there was just...

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

I have a good understanding of the concept, I was just figuring if it was correct from the factory, then dropping the pitman the same amount as the track bar would keep it correct. However, I have no problem posting up a picture...It will however have to wait until tonight, since the wife just...

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

If I end up getting one I will let you all know. I have found a 1", 1.5" and 3" Drop pitman for sure...and who knows the drop on some of them...they don't list them. I am guessing the 1.5" or so would be for the 4-5" crowd. I think you can get 1" from a ZJ pitman, but I am not positive...

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

Right on...Well, I guess if they make them for that height then they are at least potentially needed if not a requirement huh? I still need to get a bit better informed on this subject before I run off and start buying parts though. Thanks for the source and insight. -Aaron

    Drop pitman arm/track bar questions....

I just recently finished lifting a '99 Cherokee 4.5" and installing a TnT Y-link setup. It rides great, but I would say it only drives "OK". Something just isn't quite right. I am leaning toward steering angles. Specifically, I think it needs a drop pitman arm since it now has the RE1665...

    Post lift concerns/issues

Those swaybar links are adjusted too short too. Track bar should be at about a 15* angle upward. That will give you a bit more clearance there. -Aaron

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

Ok, I guess I will pass on what the problem was in case anyone else searches and finds this thread. Today right before I was going to get the speed sensor the transmission quit communicating with the computer and the transmission would only go into 1st gear. I looked everything over underneath...

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

Well, I gave in and ordered a sensor. Now the next question is which one to replace? I guess I will replace the front (input) one that USED to be in the rear since it is easier to get to and see if it fixes it. If not, then I will swap them again to see if that fixes it. If that still...

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

I appreciate it. No huge hurry, you are doing me the favor. I'm just not real sure where to start with this problem and was hoping someone had either dealt with it before, or had more intricate knowledge than I do. Thanks for taking the time to look for me. -Aaron

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

Ah, crap. Sorry. I guess I haven't filled out any info on here yet. I will get that done in just a second. You are however correct. It is a 1999, 4.0L, AW-4, NP231. I have a FSM for a 2000 in PDF, but it appears to be incomplete since the index refers to pages that are after the last...

    P0720 Speed Sensor Output

Ok, new question, same problem. I went and swapped the output (rear) speed sensor with the input (front) speed sensor, cleared codes and went for a drive. It took a bit longer, but the same code (P0720) still came back. Will the code be the same for the input and/or the output sensor if it...
