Jeep has a 3:42 rear gear, will add a locker. Have not seen Jamies Supra, not sure where to go to see it. Import Performance must really be good, they have some sporty prices. I'm satisfied with trying the AW4. Can always swap it out if necessary.
Would like to post some photos of each of...
Wolfpackjeeper you make a good point. My thoughts thus far is to continue with the AW4, since it's already in the Jeep. But even now having just added a turbo and exhaust it flair shifts going from 1st to 2nd. Other shifts are good.
Maybe after getting the vehicle running (hopefully in Jan)...
With the twin turbos I can about 400 hp. I plan to remove them and go with a single one, other mods will be necessary as well, I think 550-700 would feel good in an otherwise stock XJ 4 X 4. Already have a 3" downpipe to tailpipe exhaust system and fuel management system.
Had one of these...
Thanks for the response & encouragement. I currently have a TE-60 turbo robbed from my Grand National on the XJ. It runs OK and I could continue with modifications but the 2JZ can make ungodly power for much less money. (My GN looks as stock as factory, but with the Stage II motor is making...
Have a 1995 Toyota Supra twin turbo engine with automatic trans that I plan to install in my 1999 Cherokee 4 x 4. Question is - can the Toyota trans be modified with parts from the AW4 to fit my transfer case?
Want to be careful to not hyjack CSaddict's thread, but I have a hobbs switch that activates the 7th injector once it detects pressure. Plus the alky comes on at the same time being activated by the 3 bar MAP. But I need it a little sooner. Can you recommend a reasonably priced piggy back?
No wideband or piggyback. Just factory ECM. Turbo and most other parts came off my Grand National Buick, am using a 3 bar MAP for activating my alky. The original factory 1 bar is still connected to the engine. I do have a MAP adjuster I could install if it would help. Thanks for your reply.
Am curious if you figured it out. I have also turboed my XJ, at zero inches of mercury, the motor starts bucking off and on. So I know I need to address the MAP. I also added a 7th injector plus have added alky. Runs good only need to get past the cutting off part. Got any ideas for me?
