    Another distributor question

The power coming to my coil does not go on and off when cranked. I'm thinking either bad trigger in the distributor or the ECU. First is there a way to test to see which is bad? Second, can I replace the trigger in the dist. or do I need to replace the distributor? This is in a 93 xj sport with...

    Still no spark

There is power going to the coil but when cranked it doesn't break (go on and off). Also when the key is turned to the on position the coil has power going straight through, is that normal? Thanks Jim

    Still no spark

I posted last week about no spark to my coil. I put the meter on the plug going into the coil and it reads infinity even when cranking, there is no fluctuation or "on off" on the meter reading. Where's my next spot to look and any solutions. BTW this is on a 93 xj sport with a 4.0 Any help is...

    ignition box location?

best I can tell is that I have power going to the coil, don't see any coming out to the dist. Anyone ever buy a new coil and have it be bad? two out of the three tests the manuel sais to do show ok, but third test shows bad, same as old one

    ignition box location?

Ren, I show power on my meter on the wire coming into the coil. Is there a way to check the trigger in the dist.

    ignition box location?

Not even close to what my coil looks like. That one looks like the one in haynes.

    ignition box location?

Real problem is no spark, trying to trace it backwards. New coil, new dist. cap and rotor. When unbolting the coil it appears to be bolted to just a bracket that has what appears to be two grounding wires bolted to it. No wire plugs and nothing more then a steel bracket as far as I can tell...

    ignition box location?

I have a 93 xj sport with the 4.0 engine. According to my haynes manuel the ignition box is located directly under the coil, NOT so on mine. I'm having a hard time tracing the wires from the coil and I'm not sure what the ignition box looks like. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks for any...

What way to go on shocks

I have a 93 XJ no lift at this point in time but hoping to do a 2" lift later this year. This is my daily driver and I use it on the logging roads in the back country, I'm not planning on any serious off roading but do like to get in a bit of mud once in a while. Currently I don't tow anything...

    Water leak??

Ok, the A.C. part was obvious for the condensation, any idea where rain water may be getting in from? I did poke a wire up the drain hole and got some water to leak out so hopefully that will take care of it pooling and dumping inside the vehicle, won't know for sure for a couple days. Thanks Jim

    Water leak??

I get water leaking on the passanger side, inside the vehicle. It's not antifreeze so I know I don't have any leaking hoses. It dripps down off the duct work mainly when I turn to the left. It seems to happen when there's been heavy rain or I've had the A.C. running. Any ideas where it's coming...
