I was reading on another post of new camping restrictions in Tellico. I was there a few years ago and I camped along the stream on trail 5 right before the crossing, with many other campers as well. Is this area closed to camping now? Is this where they built a bridge across the stream...
I don't think I buy the 4 psi method... with a small tire, say a 30x9.5", you have more tire surface relative to the volume of air inside than you would with something like a 33 or 35x12.50". This would cause the smaller tire to heat up quicker and more than the bigger tire, resulting in...
Looks like the pics are gone again, does anyone have them saved? I'm gonna be doing this soon but I'm not sure where to cut and fold. I'm sure I can figure something out but it would be nice to see whats already been done.
I'm gonna try to loosely bolt the bracket side and then have someone sit inside and move the steering wheel to see if the frame flexes enough to make it fit. If this doesn't work I'll see if I can get a replacement.
I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the RE track bar brace not lining up the the holes in the pass side frame rail. It seems to me that the actual brace was slightly misaligned before it was welded together. One of the holes in the brace ends up off the frame rail. Just...
Welding is NOT that big of a deal, I'd have to get some work done on the TJ anyways. I was just thinking that beefing up my cherokee would be too involved, but I've been looking at a bunch of pics and I've come up with some pretty good ideas. I've been torn between the two for the last few...
Whats up guys, I've got a real big problem that maybe you can help with... First of all I love my XJ. It'll be paid off in 8 months. Here's the deal though, I have an opportunity to trade my 97 XJ for an all stock hard top 98 TJ 4.0/manual(AX15?) in really good condition. My XJ has a 5.5 RE...
Is there any good TJ or wrangler forums out there sorta like this one... where people know what they're talking about? All I can find is jeepforum and jeepsunlimited and they seem to be idiots over there. I'm "investigating" TJ's cause I have an opportunity to get a really good deal on a 98...
Mine sat about an inch lower pass. side front. I swapped coils side to side and it still did the same thing, so I just added an extra isolater to the lower side. Now it sits close enough to even all the way around. It seems that my front pass. frame rail is the slightest bit bent upwards but...
Hmmm, I gotta check out GJ. Denver is nice, only because of the mountains to the west... GJ is surrounded by awesome landscapes and a lot more isolated. What is the elevation there anyways? I'm pretty sure my Jeep would love it there. I'll be done with college in a year now so my time is...
How big is the city? Lot's of construction/growth? It seems like it's in the middle of nowhere to me, lol. I'm from Florida but I go skiing almost every year, although I've never been west of Vail. I really love Colorado and have been thinking about moving out there lately, but the only real...
Regarding the A pillar flexin deal, what you really want to tie into the cage is the upper coil mounts, where most of the force acts most of the time. I would tie them in on the way to the front bumper, that is for a built rig of course.
Although the axle would be off center, the springs and suspension links would be centered and straight with the Jeep. Using the trackbar to correct for this would just throw off the springs/links by the same amount.
