Guys. I have good vents and 2" lift at the back of the hood but I still can't touch the hood it's burning my hands.
Coolant temp is normal engine temp is normal.

Reviving the old post Sorry. But I have the same exact issue and mechanic said it's the transfer case. There is a play on both drive shaft t case side.
