I have a set of Ruffstuff frame stiffeners that I'm going to tackle within the next few weeks, and I want to be able to finish the project without having to restock on stuff. Is a 10 lb spool (flux core) enough for both sides? Any other consumables you can think of? Flap discs, grinding wheels, etc.
Looks good! I see you've also modified your center vent. Very "high speed". Do you think any late models do this? Mine and my dad's 93 center vents are supported with pennies.

It won't rust with a coat of oil on it, inside, essentially sealed off to the elements, but it could have possibly rusted when it was sitting around on a shelf prior to install. Maybe that was the seller's concern.
You said you don't want it too loud at cruise, but a bit more aggressive when you open it up. Running WITHOUT a muffler will make it aggressive sounding through the entire revs. Mufflers are designed to manipulate that sound through the rev range and throttle.

That headliner looks great! There is definitely a lot to keep track of when you pull the interior trim. I just did mine recently. Using the roller seems like a great idea.
