    Tranny problem? or something else?

Uh. After googling and searching i have found the "neutral rattle" is a common issue with that tranny. http://groups.google.com/...tj&btnG=Search&sitesearch= http://forums.jpmagazine....nv-3550-rattle/index.html http://www.jeepforum.com/...utral-1059503/index2.html What wonders me is , that...

    Tranny problem? or something else?

stock 2000 XJ 2,5 Turbo diesel with manual tranny NV3550. When idling and clutch released it makes clunking/popping metallic noise (as if gear is hitting an edge or two gears with incorrect tooth pattern are hitting each other) When clutch depressed = silence. When under load (eg. normal...

great writeup !!! i did a sort of similar setup a while ago. It was a TJ with D44 rear, drum brakes and factory ABS so it had allready the tone rings on the shafts. We did rear disc conversion (using the conversion kit from Crown) First i tryed to use ZJ ABS sensors, but they didn´t reach...

You North Americans are soo lucky.

YES. I do. I hate VWs. Would never buy one again. I admit, they have some good TDI engines. I admit they have excelent mileage. But the rest is crap. And there are more modern and sophisticated diesel engines on the market. For exapmle in 1,9 TDI the MAF sensor is prone to failure very often...

You North Americans are soo lucky.

SO, diesel in XJ, hm.... from 87 up to 93 or so, there was a 2,1 litre 4cylinder turbodiesel engine from Renault. 86 Hp or so. This frogeater really sucks. It has NO power and NO torque. It came from the factory with 4,11 gear ratios. It was only usable for a daily driver with stock tyres. Or...

You North Americans are soo lucky.

Although it was question for Mrogers, LPG is here very common, so i think i can answer too. I ran several cars with LPG, for thousands of miles. When converted properly, there is no problem. In some engines (mostly japs) you need to use Flashlube - an additive lubricant to protect cylinder head...

You North Americans are soo lucky.

Continental Europe says hello to GB ! Mrogers, you are true with the prices of spares outside the US. But you´re still more lucky than me, comparing the prices of spares here in Slovakia. (thus i have helped myself being a parts dealer and reseller :star:) But still, you have some good...

    2000 cherokee cranks won't start

not only the steering wheel panels but also the clockspring clockspring w. cruise has one more wire on 2000 xj the cruise signal is broadcasted via the ccd bus, so he also needs to set the "cruise enable feature" in the ecu via DRB scan tool

    experience with PORC

After reading all this.... hm, i know Masurko personally, he is a fair guy. He just thinks/wants to save some money, that´s why he started to deal with PORC. I did some business with PORC some time ago, everything was OK (except for longer dellivery). I tryed to order something from them...

did it with a mig welder. Not all around, only tacks. And only one at a time. Let it cool down between welds. Wet rug helps a lot
