seems to me that the years 84-90 have the pump in front of the tank. I have the same thing. but i have to get a whole new mount because gas is leaking out of the electrical.

they should be floating rotors. I would check for rust around the housing. seems like there is a little there. If so spray pb blaster on it and they should come off.
