help make a dream come true.

Thanks for posting this here! This is my sister-in-law, and she needs your help! Watch her video! If you want to do more, share the video on facebook or post it somewhere else. Megan has also been involved in four wheeling for a long time too. A few of you who have been around the...

    fox coilovers

Here. The wheelwell is cut in half, extended a few inches, and welded back in because I moved my axle back. Coilover placement could be similar though, whether you moved the axle or left it in the stock position.

    fox coilovers

No problem. I think there is a decent picture showing the finished fender well where the shock comes through on or around page 30.

    fox coilovers

That's pretty much where my shocks are, except I just ran them through a hole in the floor to a crossmember behind the back seat. I also moved my rear axle back 3" or so. My spring rates ended up being 150 over 250, I think, but yours will probably be different depending on how much compresion...

    fox coilovers

Have you thought about where the shocks will be going? For any decent length shock you'll be running them through the floor, or mounting them at a rediculous angle where they won't work very well, or using a cantilever setup that will probably require relocation of your gas tank. Consider the...

    Thoughts on a Eaton E-Locker

It's very little draw. Look at the wires on the stator. They are very small. Not even close to the same amp draw as a winch.

Hanging Tree trail New Years Day

That looks like fun! Carl and I ran Chainsaw out by Delta in conditions like that. It was awesome. You should be able to winch up that waterfall, right? You might want to winch back down it on the way out though...

    Thoughts on a Eaton E-Locker

The early versions had a wek snap ring that held the stator on. This ring could slip out of it's groove and allow the stator to slip off, which would prevent the locker from locking. This was remedied with a larger snap ring. That was the only problem we ever had with them.

    Thoughts on a Eaton E-Locker

I was using the E-lockers in a UROC competition buggy when they just started making them. We were sponsored, and testing the earliest versions. The half-turn before full lock was a big concern at first for me, but it never turned out to be a problem, and this was under the most sever...

    good coil springs for rear?

And coilover shocks too while you're at it.

    Thoughts on a Eaton E-Locker

I've owned ARBs, Eaton E-lockers, Detroits, Spools, and a Lock-Right. I hope to never own another ARB. They are great when they work, but they are so complicated that they often don't work. I would run Eatons again. I actually still have a Dana 60 one floating around. Ox lockers are one of...

    welding surge protector?

I never have, and have never had an issue, in many years.

    Auto or standard

Utah. I swapped my 4 door from an ax15 to an aw4. My dad has a 2000 or 2001 (can't remember now) with a 5 speed.

    aw4 swap traoubles

My 92 was originally a 5 speed. I swapped in a newer AW4 (98?), and it runs fine. I used the cps from the 5 speed, it bolted right in. I did not touch the ecu, and I have not yet hooked up the vss. I have not installed any TCU. I am using a rail shifter instead. I suspect your CPS. There...

Clayton Offroad XJ 8" Coil Conversion Long Arm Lift

So you're 10k into the lift and steering? I'm into my whole XJ ~half that, incuding coilovers at all four corners, nine inch & 44 both geared and locked, new 35s on beadlocks, full hybrid cage, etc etc etc... Of course it has taken a great deal of my own time to get there.
