i have never rebuilt bilstiens , but have done plenty of fox and sway aways, iihr you fill the reservoir then put piston like half way down, the over flow will fill the body of shock then fill rest full and put shock piston in slow and put all back together, you don't want air in the shock it...
so you are saying when you have to flip it 180degrees that the wire are black- white- yellow- purple, and flipping them should be black/purple and white/yellow, just trying to make sure I understand how that goes. awesome write up
those all are nice positive replies and it was just talk I have zero plans to do that I just posed a question, has anyone used them? my thought exactly was they get taken off all the time for lifts. so would be a cool cheap project.
well i haven't really looked but I have seen a bunch of tj's so in the whole world you are saying they don't have any jk..and that wasn't what I said I asked if anyone had used them on a xj, and I said cause COULD!!! be a good junk yard find.. but you have to be a tool and not see what the real...
there is a article on here thats gets rid of coil rail and uses a caravan coil or a viper coil and plug wires and the how to of doing it, maybe some one can chime in and give you a link
why does it turn into a question of where what junk yard ,they made it since what 07... so in 8 yrs none have gone to the junk yard.. I just asked if anyone had used them on a xj..
ten pounds last my welder a long time.. millermatic 185 with a spoolgun for alum. , but flux core will run hotter and burn in better then gas if you have it set up right, the welds are just not as pretty and there not as picky about being as clean as with gas i.m.o. ,nothing likes grease or oil.
