we had what I thought was "black mold" in a house we bought, well I had it tested and it was just a good old fashion mold. I scrapped it off and used a anti mold primer paint. Everyone I talked to said not to use bleach as it was worse for my health than the mold.
Have you ever tapped threads?? If the diameter of the hole is large enough for the threaded heim joint to fit in without threads than tapping that hole would do almost nothing (you would not see threads or very shallow ones). I'm basing these on very bad pictures so all I know it was threaded...
Glad they are taking a look at it. The fact is any and all companies no matter how big or small make mistakes. There are so many factors that could have made this happen. It is possible that whoever owned / used that track bar before damaged it.

I assume the track bar in this thread (In the 4th to last post) is the one that failed? First off it looks used to me?? Also look how far the heim joint is out... I bet you had 2 or 3 threads holding that thing on hence it pulling...
