    Jeep 2500 Conversion order #2

Yup, that pretty much sums it up. Communication with Gerry has been sporadic at best. Last email I got said he was going up to California later that day to mail the first US Post Office money order.

    World's Fastest Comanche

Yes that's a block on the EGR. Really isn't worth much at 144 mph. :D I assume so, but I don't know if it actually runs. They had it sitting out in the open area when we showed up. Yes, the throttle body went directly to the emptied cowl area. I did find this quoted from an old magazine...

    World's Fastest Comanche

The windshield wipers were apparently removed and the air intake was routed into the drivers side housing. Yup, that's a Dana 35 under there. Also there's a Peugeot backing the 4.0L.

    World's Fastest Comanche

Most of you MJ guys have likely already seen this at the Comanche Club, but I wanted to share this little gem of forgotten Jeep history with everyone else. What you see below is the Worlds Fastest Comanche and holder or the land speed record from 87-89 when Gale Banks beat it in an S-15...

    Clutch Master Cylinder

Definitely replace it. And be careful about the cheap replacements. I've heard of guys going through a couple before they found one that doesn't suck in short order. --Pete

    Motion Offroad contact?

Let me put it another way. If Michael Vick popped up on the site and it turned out that he was a big fan of MJs and liked to help out fellow owners with their truck problems, I'd have no problems with him being there as long as he behaved himself. The site is about the trucks and anyone that...

    Motion Offroad contact?

Yup, on a forum that is about Jeep Comanches I do indeed value the input from a knowledgeable Jeep Comanche owner that likes to talk about his Jeep Comanche and help other Jeep Comanche owners with their Jeep Comanches. Shocking as it may be, I don't care about his business practices as long as...

    Dumbass rock slider mounting question..

Thanks!. :D There should be more pics at http://www.picturetrail.com/petermontie down in the "protection" folder. If you need any shots from other angles, just lemme know. Jeep on! --Pete

    stuck door

I had my door stick shut and I eventually found that removing the seat made life much easier for gaining access to the door interior. Jeep on! --Pete

    XJ Hood

I installed fog/driving lights there and moved turn signal duties to some trailer lights. If I had to do it again, I'd have gone with a better quality fog/driving light. These ones are falling apart. :( Jeep on! --Pete

    4.10

I recommend 4.56 gears if it sees lots of highway and, if you really truly care about gas mileage (and somehow I doubt that), SLOW DOWN!!! :soapbox: You are never EVER going to get decent gas mileage driving 75 mph in a shoebox on 33s. Another option is get a cheap econo car and watch your mpg...
