Yodels, I'm now in the northwest chilling with Sasquatch. He's quite the drinker. Downs aabout a case every 15 minutes. Told him to just buy kegs to save cash and he just grumbled something under his breath I didn't understand. Anywho, just e-mail me at [email protected] if you need to get...

Removing Ignition Switch on a steering column

I need to replace the ignition switch on the lower part of the steering column on my 85 XJ, non-tilt steering. The switch is jamming so it's time for a new one. I am having a hard time locating the screws so I can remove it and replace it. Any advice would be helpful.

    Steering column cover removal

I'm just replacing some gear on the back of the lock cylinder but can't get to it. I don't want to replace the whole steering column just this one piece. So I just need to get the cover off, or just put it together and rig a start button.

    removing steering column

I don't know. I need to replace the switch. The key/lock cylinder I've done before but the gear assembly is damaged. The one that goes on the end of the cylinder is stripped. I'm taking it apart so I can replace that and also check for binding. The cover seems to be hung up on something or held...

    removing steering column

Need to remove the covers on my 85s steering column to replace the ignition switch. Have the steering wheel, indicator cam, and top cover, but cannot remove any farther due to wiring. Do I need to remove the whole column to replace the switch? If so, what bolt do I need to remove? This is...

    Fixing steering column lock mechanism.

How do you fix/disable the parking locking mechanism on the steering column? Mine jammed this morning and the locking cylinder broke so I can't start it. I know you have to remove the steering wheel, remove the tun signal indicator cam assembly so get to the lock cylinder, but how can I...
