Not the U-joints. Installed fresh set of spicers and still have the thunk and grind. Seems to be internal to the transfer case. Im crossing my fingers it holds up to the next week in moab.
Checked rear diff and it seemed fine with little to no metal shavings.
Ill replace the u joints then. Figured I would be able to get some play from them moving drive shaft etc.
Exhaust is plenty clear of anything and everything.
So when I am at or above 40 mph every time I let off the gas or get back on it I hear and feel a clunk from the mid/rear of the jeep. Also if I get the throttle in the perfect position it will make a horrible grinding sound (only very very little throttle does it do this).
Have an 01
100k...
You need to check out Fenix, 5Sevens. Awesome flashlights at good prices. typically I dont trust store stuff. I have bought lights from various stores and they all end up breaking or draining batteries.
Balance was done at discount tire (did not get any better or worse after balance) not sure if that was a road force balance but it was free hence why I take it there. My tires are not huge (29s) so balancing them shouldent be an issue. Ill look into it though.
Front suspension like I said is...
There is play from the shaft into the gear box but not any play coming out of the gear box at the pitman arm (that I can notice, enlisting a friends help to really take a close look this weekend). And the gear box dosent move, all bolts are where they should be and look to be doing their job...
Yes again!
I have an 01 (just over 100k miles) with roughly a 3" lift on it. Has AW4, stock control arms and steering set up. Addaleafs in the rear on a 8.25.
The problem is I have a very stubborn wobble at 50-55mph on the dot. It begins to wobble but I think my dampener tames the wobbs...
