agreed an 8.8 kicks you know what...
Well if you don't mind running larger holes ruff stuff ubolts can be ordered through mayhem off road in Modesto, he'll give you a good price. they are 5/8" bolts though.
I really doubt replicating their kits without expensive tooling is going to be acheived. Their u bolt are pure beef! And if you got a whole sale licesnse or can get your local fab shop to get a discount account, you'll save some coin.
Spring perches, yeh those are easy to make out of...
retubing a axle cost will vary depending on who you know. I am going to remove the tubes and prep the pumpkin. this will be done by drilling/milling out the plug welds, then cutting off existing radius mounts, then welding a plate on the end of it and pressing out the tubes by using a bottle...
So your saying your puting a stronger rear end in the rear but cant dignify the cost? Why not just regear your 8.25 instead of doing this whole project? RUFFSTUFF makes killer kits, and it may seem expensive up front, but after you go on the trail and abuse the products you bought from them and...
nice work guys and thanks for the info. I am gonna just retube it. I got it for 50 bucks, it was complete but a hole was cut in the radius arm part...
So i have brakes, calipers, hubs, axles, and housing, gears etc... for 50 bucks
By radius arms do you mean the C's? or do you actually mean the radius arm on the suspension?
I am planning on putting a truss, coil, control arm and track bar kit on the front end, from RUFF STUFF.
it will be a few weeks, but its gonna be awesome.

So i know that 78 and newer broncos have .25" tubes, making them a poor idea for a dana 44 upgrade... But if i used a truss kit and built my own custom spring mounts, wouldnt it hold up fine?
Hey all I searched a bit but I couldn't find any specifics. I found a front end d44 from a 87 waggy. No hubs or brakes on it. But has axles and spindles carrier etc... Is this a disc brake front? I dunno?
I have a d30 w/4.88 going in now. But I know a d44 is gonna be my futures so I'm thinking...
ok so kit is on and it seems to ride great, i just need to get some disconnects for the sway bar... Is there any DIY kits or ideas for sway bar disconnects?
The ride is amazing compared to the rustys kit i had on it. I cant wait to get a working front dif installed.
I would be willing to draw some stuff up on cad if anyone has some sketches of their kits they have made.
If anyone knows greatwhitexj on pirate ask him to send some sketches and will cad them.
This way someone like ruffstuff can cut out what we need and make it available as a package or...
Thanks, I will do on the magnet. Btw I am doing a Dana 30 woth Aussie locker and 4.88 gears for my front this week for my front. I have set up bearings and race.my only question... So far is how to eliminate the 2 pc vacuum axle ? Do I just put a non vacuum axle in and remove the arm accuator etc?
