Its funny i heard so much crap about freelanders and my dad got one a while back but it wheels incredibly its only all wheel dr but it drives great unless i high center it gets out of every mud hole as long as they are maintained really really good they are fine in my opinion not pre 2001 tho...

the vehicross is a production concept that is a cross between a amigo and a trooper also a little better to look at.

personally the next best 4x4 out there is a 1989 dodge raider or (montero there the same) they have full skid plates even on the gas tanks they also have limited slip diffs. the diffs are bulletproof and as big as a dana 44 they are tanks! the best stock trucks in my opinion, the engines are ok...
