    San Jose meet and greet??

How'd it go? I really wanted to see my new friends again but remember I was asking how an old guy can workout without getting hurt. Well it didn't go so well recently and couldn't turn my neck for a week. At least my elbow doesn't hurt.

Steering Stabilizer - Which style/brand to go with?

Another controversial post by me regarding the "need" for a steering stabilizer: I hear a lot of, "you don't need one" or "it's only there to mask a problem." but IMO there is another reason to want one even if you have no problems. I personally feel every tiny pebble in the road through the...

    Cherokee Axle Question

I've heard this several times. And the obvious opposite about a D35. D30 = good, D35 = bad, but they're almost the same axle in strength and size. I've heard of a few D35 failing but everybody I know has broken an axle/u-joint on a D30. The D30 is crap just the same as the D35. Either can be...

    STEERING RECOMENDATIONS

Shit. Looks like these TREs are stock size threads even though they came with a "heavy duty" kit. Oh well.

    STEERING RECOMENDATIONS

Looks like stock threads are .687" and Currie are 7/8". But the ones I have look like the Currie so they might be the same. I'll have to measure when I get home.

    STEERING RECOMENDATIONS

Since we've established the Currie is a very good choice, are the tierod ends the same size as stock? I know the knuckle end is the same but what about the threads? I have a few that came off a generic 1-ton kit and trying to figure out if I can keep the ends as spares.

    Tomken Rock Sliders

Thanks. I've started doing all the minor repairs with desert tan. Eventually it will be camo. On the JCR sliders. I have the stage-3 (I think they only have this 1 type now) and found if you take a super hard hit they will get pushed up and your door won't open. I ended up cutting the tubes off...

    Tomken Rock Sliders

Most of the manufactures' instructions are pretty bad or limited. You often have to go through what you experienced. Look at instructions, scratch head, lay out parts, look at Jeep, scratch head, hold part in place, get beer, repeat... Finally it starts to make sense. Warning: More beer makes...

Tim, you're selling this Oregon living very well. What's the coast cottage address so I can google map it?

Yes I'm sure. The differential is operational in full-time. It's completely locked up in part-time hi or lo position.
