So will a 99 explorer work for this conversion as well? I have a 99 cherokee and am looking for the 4:10 conversion just want to know if all of this is the same as whats posted. and if so can i just move the old spring mounts from my stock axel and move the stock shock mounts over and up a bit...

I have a 99 jeep cherokee with the 4.0L. automatic 4.5" lift and was curious if i could take the axel from a 99 explorer with the 4:10 gear set up. I have the ability to grind and weld but would like to as little as possible any ideas or tips would be great thanks guys.

recently changed my o2 sensor on 99 cherokee. no pb blaster and used an open end of a 7/8" wrench. came right out. was a little warm though. its easily accessed from the underside of your jeep. best of luck

also any good welders/ fabricators in the area i have some rock rails i need mounting brackets for!

What year should i got to for a upgraded steering setup? I have a 99 jeep cherokee with 4" of lift on 265/75R16 dick cepek mountain cats and the dana 30 high pinion front axel. I need to know also for rear disc brake conversion? thanks for any advice given.

hey everyone i got it out and all i used was some pb blaster between the hub and its housing and it came out with out fighting me at all. i did have to use a 3' cheater bar to loosen the axel nut though. Thanks again for all the help. i also replaced the rotors and pads while there.
