so for an 87 t-case I have to stick with a pre 90 trans or get a trans and t-case together and fix the output shaft on the t-case.

I've got an 87 cherokee pioneer, 4.0 auto with 231 t case. I'm swaping in a lower mileage 4.0 out of a 93 and looking a autos out of a 92 and a 95. I've been told that the inputs are all the same but they had different spline outputs? Both autos i'm looking at were behind 4.0's and had 231 t cases.

mounted to the roof useing 2 pieces of 1x1 tubing 45'd on the ends to run bolts thru the factory runners on the roof, then took another piece of 1x1 welded 2 bolts on it sticking up to go thru the hi-lift, then got wing nuts to run down on the bolts.. I can get a better pic if you need one.
