No power, over heating, and odd moan...

It's possible, just passing along some first hand experience with an issue that seems to match his issue which is: On hot days at freeway speed or maybe wheeling (really any extra load on the engine) the temp gauge would suddenly redline but not quite overheat, warning chime, check engine light...

No power, over heating, and odd moan...

I never had any over heating problems with my original radiator until a tank finally cracked. Replaced it with an "original equipment" rad from O'Reilly's. It worked fine in cooler weather and at low speeds around town in summer time, but with hot summer temps and freeway speeds I would get the...

Have you installed a new radiator recently or is it original?

    Radiator Interchangeability Across the Years

So what was the conclusion? Were you able to install the 52080104AC ('99-'01) in your '96 and run it with no issues? Thanks

Front Driveline Vibes at 6" plus?

By the way, RCP, the slip yoke on the front seems in great shape no movement what so ever. Thanks.

Front Driveline Vibes at 6" plus?

I'll take out the TC drop and see what happens there. I've got the 5.5" RE xd kit with the drop brackets and non-adj. control arms that came with it. I'll have to dig out my alignment specs and see where they set it at. I just got the 4.56's installed a month ago or so, didn't think that could...

Front Driveline Vibes at 6" plus?

Anyone else experience vibes from their front driveline after lifting 6"+? I didn't have any at first (after the lift) but developed after a couple months or so. Any speed over 65 mph starts vibrating/oscillating pretty bad. Don''t notice anything around town at lower speeds. Removed the...

Check it out almost done, pics

Great job, especially for a 16 year old. You're building it your way and that's the best way. All jeeps continue to evolve over time. What the heck does a 16 year old care about "rocks" or "mud" anyway? It's all about the babes at that age.... which brings me to my only concern about this...

Changed ATF and filter = slipping trans

Thanks Karmir, but we covered that one...:D (that's kind of like the old "Is your pc plugged in to the outlet" question.)

Changed ATF and filter = slipping trans

The magnets looked real good, so nothing there prior to oil change, we'll see when I drop it again. The electrical connections could be a possibility, although I inspected them and they looked fine to me... they'll get another look see. The filter was the correct one and it was installed...

Changed ATF and filter = slipping trans

Thanks for the feedback Sid- Yeah, I bought the Jeep used in '99 with about 27K on it. Doubt the fluid had been changed at that point. So although rest of jeep has been babyed the tranny had not been touched. Fluid was not that bad but was due for a change. The pan looked real good, no crud and...
