Has anyone made a custom overhead console for their XJ? I bought a stock one at a JY and was going to install, but the darn thing has no storage space and I don't need a clock/thermometer/compass. I tried looking through the junk yard for other vehicles w/ OHCs that could be adapted for use...

Thanks for the link. I wonder if you could use aluminized exhaust pipe and silicon hose bends to make the tubing- it would provide smooth airflow, and would look alot better.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy a cheap rubber mallet- slice into 4 pieces. Now you have left and right rubber bumpstops.

So, you didn't do anything to reinforce the quarter panel mount and you carried a 33/12.5/15? The only thing you modified was the hub mount? If this is the case, I may pick it up afterall.

Hold a 33inch spare? I found one at the salvage yard off a 85 Chief- its the type that mounts to the bumper and quarter panel. Thanks

I recently broke a stud off of a 1.25 inch wheel spacer, and have had no luck finding the right size stud to fix it. So, I decided to ditch the spacers and get some wheels with 3.25 or 3.5 inch backspace. (My current wheels have 4.5 inches of BS.) From what I have found, the soft 8s are made...

Are the Toyos really that much heavier than other tires? If so, they might be as bad as a 35 inch tire for a locked D30, huh.
