I have a 1986 XJ Wagoneer that I'm parting out or take it whole. It's all there except for the grille/header panel.Has 2.8 V-6, Auto, NP-207. The engine runs but transmission is bad. 130k miles showing. No title. I'll try to post pictures later but can be seen on D/FW Craigslist under auto parts...
He has 90 2 door Camo along with a handful of others posted in Auto Parts on D/Fw Craigslist. His name is Tommy.
I'm still looking for a White header panel 91-96. It doesn't look like I'll be going to the wrecking yards anytime soon due to the rain.
I found a rear axle and a White hatch yesterday from a guy in Mansfield who parts out XJs.
His prices are very reasonable, less than PnP, and I recommend him to anyone when looking for a part. He posts on Craigslist and currently has a few XJs and a MJ which I got a hard to find part for. I am...
Hi,
I have a 92 Cherokee with a trashed rear end and am looking for a replacement. It is currently has a Chrysler (flat on bottom) with 3.55 gears but I'd be interested in anything that bolts in ranging from a Renix era Dana 44 all the way to a Dana 35 with the wrong gears. I'm located in the...
The factory parts manuals show the same hood and hardware for all 84-86 and a different hood and hardware for all 87-90 so it looks like it's the year rather than the engine that determines fit. So you should be able to use any 84-86 hood including the V-6 models.
I once had a 78 Camaro and on it the Gen light was in series with the 12V excitation circuit to the alternator. In other words, if Gen light bulb burned out the alternator would not charge. Don't know if yours is the same but a quick look at a wiring diagram would tell you.
It does sound like an idle only issue but my thoughts were if fuel pressure is too high it may not be a problem when the engine has a load. A pressure gauge would tell. I'm not sure about 95 but in 96 the regulator had moved to the tank.
Just saw this and have not read all the details but if cruise control stopped working while climbing a hill then it sounds like a vacuum leak on the cruise control side of the vacuum canister. Also, it could be a missing/non-working check valve where the vacuum line enters the dash. Not sure if...
There may be a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. If it's not working the fuel pressure will be too high causing more fuel to flow during the time the injector is fired. The wrong size injector(s) could do the same thing even if working correctly. The ECU will adjust the injector on time...
That fan shroud looks as if it's been repaired a time or two. I'm sure those metal pieces and rivets have been added. It's a very tight fit down there, there was actually a factory service bulletin (I.S. 37E) issued on it back in 87. Service correction involved replacing the fan, shroud, and...
There's a place in Arlington called Bills Upholstery. They've been around for as long as I can remember. Always see really nice muscle cars and boats there being worked on. They did a good job for me on my headliner, visors, and sound bar.
Not quite, I've already got a set for the later models and the bumper brackets are a little different. I can make them work but was hoping for something a little more "plug and play". Thanks anyway.
