My mistake. Its a 2000 jeep cherokee sport. Its just a plastic black washer around the column.

So I replaced my steering column with another one. Put it in, works as it should for the most part. However above the boot in the firewall on the interior side is a plastic, black metal washer around the column. Should this be inside the boot right near the firewall or outside the boot? My...

There are four, two per side, if I recall correctly. Two that are against the back (like the firewall) and then two that are going up, as if into the instrument cluster. Maybe its the tilt feature?

Anyone figure out if all Jeeps have the electric connection under the hood. It seems I have one, I think, with 3 wires, but it is way too short. It is short so it will not go to the front of by the battery. Anyone have a pic of the connector?

I just had to do this. Bought 2 feet of extension and it wasn't hard. Having a second set of hands up top makes it easier, but isn't necessary.
