    slip yoke boot question

Just found this post, and have a few cents if you are still trying to find the vibe. I have driveline vibrations. For giggles I took the driveshaft off and put the tranny into D (in 2wd with the wheels chocked) so the output shaft is spinning. I used to the creeper and went to take a look. I...

Thanks, what year XJ do you have? I'd guess '87, but you never know.

What year ZJ CV axle shafts fit in a HP D30

I have a '99 XJ with a HP D30 (obviously no vac disconnect). The u-joints are going out, I was thinking of replacing the shafts with the CV shafts from a ZJ D30. So my question is has anyone done it, and does anyone know what shafts would fit in a '99 HP D30?

    Recaro Seats w/Waterproof Covers

Recaro BMW E 21 black seats. They have the original seat rails. I have two sets of water proof covers, one still new in package. Seat cushion extends forward. Headrests extend up and tilt forward. Backrests have knob for adjustment with BMW logo on them. The backrests have a lever that makes...

Pulling out the radiator to do a flush, yes or no?

ha! its funny you should mention those "ionized" water machines. We have a marine aquarium and used water that came those, long story short, it isn't anywhere near as clean as you would think. Obviously not quite as much of a concern in a jeep. Anyway, I've checked the coolant a few more times...

Pulling out the radiator to do a flush, yes or no?

Ok, I didn't mess with anything but the lines and that was more than enough a pain in the a$$. The connections were a pain, but I got it done. I took a look at the coolant and it looked pretty good. The mud, muck whatever was gone and it just looked like coolant so I left it alone. Must have...

Pulling out the radiator to do a flush, yes or no?

Well I wasn't planning on replacing the radiator. I have already flushed it with tap water the last two falls before the below freezing winter weather. Should I take it from you guys that that was a bad idea? It was not distilled water, just Chicago tap water. Then drained and filled with 50/50...

Pulling out the radiator to do a flush, yes or no?

So it sounds like you think I really couldn't get the radiator that clean anyway, without taking it to a shop to give it a complete cleaning and testing. That makes sense. I was just going to let the garden hose run throught it for a while, but I guess that wouldn't do much. By the way the...

Pulling out the radiator to do a flush, yes or no?

My transmission cooling lines are leaking, so I got new ones and plan to replace them today. Now the little angel on my shoulder says just do that and be done with it in less than an hour and with a limited mess. The devil on the other shoulder says why not do a radiator flush too, while the...

xj body onto a zj frame

What are you guys talking about? I take my body of my frame every year for inspection, and to put fresh body mounts on for a smooooooth ride.:eeks1: seriously though, take the advise that all these guys are giving you, do the engine swap or just buy another XJ w/4.0L in it.

I converted my '99 to run on e85, been running great since 12/07

Last I posted I had adjusted from a lean setting of 4, past the original setting of 5, and richened it up a little to just under 6. I also took the yakima bars of the top. I drove down to the south west suburbs of Chicago with a small 4x8 trailer and I got 17-18mpg at 65 behind a semi. Much...
