Took it in to a steering column expert.
Turns out the rack that is moved by the key assembly is stripped.
100 bucks latter and she is good to go.
The key to diagnosis is to look and see if the small rod on top of the column is moving.
Thanks
I turn the ignition off and everything stays on. I have to stall the engine to stop it.
I can restart the engine like normal. Think someting in the column broke.
I need this fixed quick.
Thanks for the help
I broke the end off the fitting at the front of the valve cover that connects to the air intake tube.
It is brittle and I was planing to kill two birds with one stone and replace my valve cover gasket while I was working on it.
Is there anything else worth doing while the valve cover is off...
I need to pull my valve cover on my 94 4.0 and replace the pcv valve

Thanks in advance

The new axle uses a different parkbrake setup.

I can really feel the deeper gears.
I am currently running 29s and will be until I find some 31s cheap.
If I have done my math right by going from 3.07 to 3.55 I would have to run roughly 33s to keep the spedo the same
I think my xj shipped with 225/75/15 tires and 3.07 gears.
I will have the vin of the xj the axles come from...
First post
I plan to swap the stock axles from my 94 xj 4.0 5spd for stock axles from a 99 4.0 auto.

gears 3.07 to 3.55
wear 100k less miles and 5 less years
upgrade better u joints up front and stronger 29 spline rear axles
