    revolver shackles

Here I go digging up an older thread.... It's a fact that the driveshaft being too long or not having enough travel will and can be one of the factors that limit droop with Revolvers. With the Revolvers, when the axle drops it also moves forward, it can only move forward as much as the...

    Places to wheel in alberta?

Between Banff and Calgary there is the Waiparous Valley, Ghost Creek and MacLean Creek areas. There are plenty of places to explore off secondary Hwy 940...which basically follows the foothills between Jasper and Banff.

Dana 44 Option, Can it be Done???

Not many tools here, either. I used an angle grinder, chop saw and a 4 lb. hammer. Rent, borrow or buy tools...shortening is easier than you think. You'll be glad that you did.

Dana 44 Option, Can it be Done???

It sounds like more trouble and money to have a LP diff housing pressed out and HP center section pressed in. You should be able to remove the inner knuckle yokes off the HP housing yourself, shorten it, hammer the yokes back on, set the caster and weld. Seems like moving just the inner...

    Dana 44 front swap question...

I had Moser make a set of rear D44 shafts with 6x5.5" pattern....other specs same as XJ D44 shafts. The flange sits flush inside the Grand Cherokee rear disc rotor....which I had drilled to the same pattern. The axle flange didn't need to be bevelled for the GC discs, but as Goatman mentioned...

    tire math w/5sp and ratios

My XJ has a 5 spd, 4.0L, 33x10.50" BFG A/T KO, 4.56 gears. I drive plenty on the hwy at 65-70 mph, rpm is usually around 2500-2800. I'm convinced 4.56 is the correct gear ratio for my setup. I can haul a load, push a headwind, climb hills, pass other vehicles...all without any trouble. And it's...

    AX15-Hurst Shifter? Hey Jes!

I have a Hurst shifter on my AX-15, it doesn't help with the hard shifting or grinding, it just does it with 33% less shifter throw :)

ZJ rear disc brakes on D44 questions

The rotors I used were a tight fit over the flange also. I used a Dremel and opened up the hole in the rotor a bit, so it slides on but isn't loose. As you mentioned, cleaning off some paint might do it, in your case. The wheels studs can, effectively, be a bit shorter. Depending on the...
