Hi all,
Been a while since Ive posted so I am assuming that's why I cant post in the Picture showcase. I have a project to create a magazine and I need a vertically shot, high resolution picture of a jeep offroad for the cover and was wondering if anyone would able to contribute one. I...
I live in the mountains right now and I was coming down a very steep road and I was picking up speed so I hit the brakes and realized I wouldnt be able to get my Jeep to stop even if a kid jumped in front of me (scary feeling : \)...i pushed my peddle down as hard as I could and it would only...
do you think you would be able to just cut the bottom ear off the door hing and slide them in or would that be too weak or loose? Its almost the same idea as the pre 97 ones except its two ears on the body hinge instead of one in the middle yuh know?
I know I know this has been covered WAY too much but... I looked at XJFanatic's write up on making removable doors on 97+ xjs but I was just wondering if anyones just cut the bottom leaf off the door side hinge and had everything work out fine? If not anyone got any opinions on that...
heyyy mine did it too during the hotter days...and then stopped when the cold weather started...( I dont know if thats related but anyways) it hasnt done it since but now warm weathers startin back up so we will see...I also tested my TPS and it was ok. Ive got an auto.
I only had to pull the crossmember because I couldnt get the dipstick tube apart so I just unhooked the bracket connecting it above the starter and pulled the whole thing down. Does the Jeep come from the factory with some kind of sealent on the pan because that was a really big pain to get off?
Im changing my Tranny fluid...I need to pull the crossmember off so where am I supposed to support the transmission if Im pulling the pan off of it?
...stupid dipstick tubes seized... : (
ya I got a 14 mm ratcheting wrench and got it all done and on the last nut for the mount i broke it tightening the nuts so i was lucky ha... i did take down the exhaust though. how tight did u get the nuts?
which way does the input seal on a 231 transfer case from the tranny come out...do you hit the top of the seal or the back of it? top being what you see before u take the retainer off.
