    Can you just put a non-disconnect axle shaft into a disconnect type axle?

    2.5L ignition upgrade

    I'm in search of the best way to upgrade my ignition system on my 86 XJ. I not talking hundreds of dollar for a new MSD system, just a good coil to replace mine with! Can anyone point me in a good direction! I know you can buy the new ICM from jeep But thought i would ask around first!

    so that front drive shaft shall work well?

    transfer case swap or not?

    I have a 86 Xj with 6 inches of lift on it, with no rear driveshaft problems. But the front is to short and is the (can) cv joint type. Now i have a NP231 tranfercase rather than my NP207. And i have the drive shafts with that NP231. Should i swap all that in or just get a new front drive shaft?
