Was wondering if I could wheel with 4.88's front and 5.13's rear without screwing the t-case? I would only use 4wd for the obsticles and trails. No pavement or regular cruising. Oh and it would only be for this weekend. So whats the word, are the ratios close enough or should I stay away...
The problem with the hardened shafts besides they cost so much, is that your pinion gear becomes the weakest link. I'd rather break a u-joint and destroy the shaft than break a pinion gear and take the chance at destroying the locker. Unfortunatly we still dont know what kind of racing he does.
Yes, but that is jumping into a whole new league of lockers. From the sounds of it he wanted a easy install. If he has never installed a new carrier I wouldnt consider it a easy install.
Its gonna be hard with only a $300 budget. Since you have a 29 spline axle the Powertrax Lockright is not available and neither is the Aussie Locker. Looks like your best bet is a Powertrax No Slip. They can be had for about $380 - $400. It will be slightly more quality that the others listed.
Not sure about the bushings. Was wondering how you liked the leafs. On their site it says that they recomend using a shackle on the leafs. Did you? And if so, did the 6" leafs give you more than 6"s.
I finally got my shocks measured out on my 93 XJ. I would like to go with the Bilstein 5125's. I found the specs off of their website.

I just swaped the hazzard flasher with the turn signal flasher. Everything is good now. Just have to purchase another flasher for the hazzards now. Thanks again.
Thanks, found many results. I did do a search, but people are always so vague with their subjects. I will try switching the relays and see what happens.
Anyone ever install any L.E.D. tail lights? I just installed THOR's rear quarter pannel gaurds with the led lights. The turn signal no longer flashes. The LED's light up when the switch is depressed but doesnt flash. The hazzards flash fine. I am thinking it is due to the lack of resistance...
