    SYE cost

Not just ANY XJ. I have one front shaft here that is shorter. I do NOT know if that is because it is out of a manual or what. I ordered it from a salvage yard, and specified that I wanted one from a 98 auto, because I know they work. What I got is the same but 2" shorter. I know for a fact that...

    Touchy Subject...

That is all correct. In addition, the downstream o2 sensor IS one of the inputs that determines long term adaptive fuel trims. The easiest way to describe a long term adaptive.....it's as close as the PCM can come to writing it's own program for your specific vehicle. Unless you have a...

    SYE cost

Personally, I think it's asking more for people to drill a hole centerlined with the shaft, and make a perpendicular cut. Unless someone is mechanically braindead, installing a full SYE isn't that tough, and is far easier if you leave the transfer case installed. I just installed one this...

    SYE cost

Yes. They all use the same yoke. You need a front driveshaft from an auto, I don't know how far back the year splits go, but anythign from the 90s works as far as I know. I used a 98, according to the salvage yard.

    How much to clear 38's

Whoah, thanks. I had been wearing the ProComp catalog out trying to find that.

lift upgrade, is it a good idea?

Dude, I'm not gonna argue with your or whatever, but you are NOT hearing the control arms. I promise you there is a worn component or loose bolt in the front making this noise. Not trying to be negative or anything, but you're throwing money at what is likely a simple problem. I'd fix whatever...

lift upgrade, is it a good idea?

It's still a good idea if the control arms are still using bushings. A properly tightened bushing will NOT move freely (yes, they move, just not freely like a rod end or Johnnie Joint), you're doing it a favor by torquing it at ride height. But I agree, I doubt it's the cause of the noise in the...

lift upgrade, is it a good idea?

Dude. If the highway ride is smoother with your trailer hooked up or whatever, you've obviously got issues with rear spring, not with your front control arm angle. If anything, your front control arm angle is going to be worse with a trailer hooked up. I'm assuming that you're already running...

    Leaf Spring Clamps, homebrew?

No shit. "Line the pack up" has nothing to do with "clamp the pack tight"

    Leaf Spring Clamps, homebrew?

That is correct, they're mostly to line the pack up and keep it that way.

    2" bastard?

You can still do the S10 deal....your lift height depends on how many of the S10 leaves you use. I'm using the S10 main with the eyes cut off as the second spring in my pack (using the the rest of the stock Xj springs under it), with the resf of my lift coming from a longer shackle that's...

    SYE cost

By complete, you mean NOT a hack and tap? Yes, a front d/s will bolt into the flange supplied with a proper SYE setup.

    SYE cost

Or spend another $30 and get a proper SYE kit from PORC, to which a front driveshaft will bolt. Far, far better solution.

    Bondo removal!!!!!!

The problem with that is that heat is also a very good way to warp the hell out of whatever panel is under the mud. You're much better cutting it off with a grinding disc. Wear a respirator.

Rear shackle mount relocation??? Rear Flex?

Oh hell no haha. It's a shackle relocation bracket from an unknown application, it was part of a VERY bizarre double shacle setup that was on this thing when I bought it. I need to get up in there and fully plate the whole deal, just shot some paint on it to keep the rust off until then.
