5.5" REs with RE2705 shackles too much?

I can't comment on that because I never planned on going bigger than 33's. But with all the extra lift, 35's might be in my future when I need tires. Do you know the person you bought the springs from? Any chance they had actual measurements?

5.5" REs with RE2705 shackles too much?

I've got an aftermarket front and rear bumper with swing-out and 33x12.5 hanging on it, rocker rails, hi-lift, gas tank skid, and full length roof rack. Hindsight I should've bought the 4.5 leafs but I'm just making all of the mods needed for the amount of lift I have now. I also plan on...

5.5" REs with RE2705 shackles too much?

I just installed the RE1461s on mine and it's sitting at 7.5" measured. WAY more than I wanted. I've heard they settle so I'm hoping that's the case.

    Overhead Console Computer

Does anyone have a definitive interchange list of what these units were in? I gave mine a shot at repairing but no luck. I'd like to check my local yards this weekend.

Finished Major engine update with electric fan conversion plus more

Nice! How did you wire the fans? All three on at the same time? Separate external controller?

    cheap 3 fan

 I would love to see where you got this info from. I'm one of those people who ditched the stock mechanical fan in favor of a second OEM straight blade electric. To this day, I still haven't seen any airflow ratings comparing the OEM straight blade fan to the OEM curved blade fan, so...

Dana 44 Disc Brake Conversion (Crown Vic)

I finally got my leak stopped. I had to spend about $400 to do it, but I now have no leaks AND chromoly axles. I thought I might have a bent axle and was fed up with spending money on bearings and seals with no results so I bought these and everything is good now. But one thing I noticed while...

Figuring lift height, death wobble, long read

Well I got under the Jeep tonight and checked the bolts that go up into the frame and both were loose. Not just a little loose, I could move them by hand So I tightened them and took it for a spin and not one bit of death wobble. I'm not going to call it fixed just yet, but I do feel good...

Hooking up a aftermarkets trans cooler. How do I hook it up?

They are the engine oil cooler and trans cooler off of a 3/4-1 ton truck. I think it was a Ford but I can't remember. I was actually picking up some other Jeep parts at a yard and walked by this truck with the front end off of it and they were right there, easy to grab. So I use the big one for...

Figuring lift height, death wobble, long read

I happened to have the front wheels off so I just tightened the side bolts in the inner fender but I forgot to check the two that go up through the frame rail. :scared: I'll check those out this week. The steering box hasn't been touched so I'll give them a look. I really should just go buy a...

Figuring lift height, death wobble, long read

When I bought my 92 XJ it already had a Rough Country 3" full leaf suspension kit with 31's on it. I got bit by the bug and decided to go bigger and better so I picked up some used parts: a locked D44 with gears and disc brakes and a matching locked HPD30, JKS upper and lower arms and quick...

Taurus fan vs. Stock xj E-fan

Remember, that temp was AFTER I installed the massive coolers in front of the radiator AND ran the AC. It never got that hot before the coolers and still never gets that hot when the AC is off even after the coolers installed. So if you're not running any aux coolers in front, you'll be fine...
