You might consider just cutting it off and using an aftermarket trailer axle welded to it and the bumper, aftermarket. That's what I did to mine, I doubt I kept the factory piece, but I'll try to remember to look for it. It currently holds a 35" tire. Bearings in the holder need attention...

I had a Hesco pump installed in my last engine rebuild a couple years ago. This is in a 90 on 35's at 6k feet altitude. The engine is overbored, with an 11-1 compression ratio, HO heads, Mopar headers, bored T-body. It moves the beast. And it's really hard to get the beast hot. I did once...

Good question. My 90 developed shorts in the brake lights and then in the tail lights. Brake lights were fixed with a new line back to the brake lights, but the tail lights also have short between the fuse and the switch. Still working on that.
