I had this idea the other day and wanted to see what ya'll thought of it before I tried it. I've got an 89 with a 4.5” rustys lift, and then shackles in the rear and spacers in the front to make it a 6” lift. I've got some probably with the camber being off, i've got adj upper control arms but...
I'm having a problem with my front coil springs they have a pretty good bow forwards. (Towards the front of the jeep) Any one know why this is? I'm running Rusty's 4.5 with 1.5 spacers up front with their adj, UCA and LCA's. Its is causing me a lot of problems getting my sway bar back so I can...
Has anyone thought about using something like this? I ran across this the other day and thought it might be a good idea, and its cheap too! Less than 50 bucks.http://www.bareco.com.au/files/general/g14a.htm
I had no problems at all with rustys, all the stuff i have ever ordered has got here within about 3 or 4 days. I've only had the lift on since Jan, so i can't tell you how it has preformed
i drove it for about 50 or 60 miles today, i don't know if i was just getting used to it or the parts were starting to work together a little more but it seemed the longer i drove it the less sway and drift the rear end had.
Another thing how much rocking is normal, you can push on the body...
yeah the rear sway bar is gone, the lift is a rustys 4.5" with shackles and spacers, full springs. The tires are General Grabbers Mud Trac. I'm going to put a tape on the rear to see if its square to the jeep this afternoon. Its not a DD its only going to be driven from the place i store it to...
I put a 6in lift on my xj a couple weeks ago, after an interesting trip to town to get it the alignment done
I've noticed the rear end kinda drifts and sways a little. And when you putt it in park and push on it, it seems to have a bit more roll back and forth than it did before? Any ideas...
I have a 2000, with about 125k on it. I got it with 60k, and other than the power windows not working anymore, its just fine. I drive it very hard to, i've never had a problem with anything. Its pretty rock solid.
I know thats the bumpers are not good recovery points, at least not the OEM ones. But with the rust back there i don't think i can attach an after market one. I'm not sure a hitch will work either, I've got longer shackles as part of the lift. I know i had to cut some of the tail pipe to fit the...
Ok my problem is this, my 89 xj's rear bumper is being held on by some metal straps the last person used, after it rusted away from the “frame”. I'm going to need a recovery point back there, whats my best idea?
Yeah i would think 500 is fair if she drives out alright. i just got an 89 about the same but with more miles for that much. I had someone at the local shop look over it to see if they could find anything i coudln't. But i feel i got a good deal for that much.
