    Who is running Limiting Straps??

Thanks - I'm running 5100 series Bilsteins that are 11.47" travel up front and 10.02" out back. All I do is rock crawl - no high speed stuff.

    Who is running Limiting Straps??

I searched and found a few threads on this, but I'd like some more current info. Following are my qeustions: Who is running limiting straps? If so why, if not why? What is your spring/shock/control arm setup? What kind of straps are you running? Where did you mount them? Post pics if you...

    Adjustable Control Arm Help

I recently upgraded my lift and tires on my XJ and just had a chance to flex things out. I'm running JKS adjustable control arms (upper and lower) and 4.5" RE springs. I'm wondering if I set my control arm length too long. When a tire is compressed it is WAY forward in the wheel well, but...

School me on installing control arms -

Thanks for all the replies. So is the consensus that the vehicle needs to be on the ground to do this? Not on jack stands? I'm replacing stock arms with JKS arms. FYI Thanks!!

School me on installing control arms -

I have new upper and lower control arms for my XJ and I'm wondering what all I need to do to replace them. I'm not replacing anything else and want to do the absolute minimum. Do I have to remove my springs? Shocks? How long should this take? Thanks in advance - c

Can you run 265/75/16s without trimming?

Yes - I mentioned that in my thread. Does this size require trimming?

Can you run 265/75/16s without trimming?

I'm currently running 245/75/16s and trimmed the rear a bit and adjusted my bumpstops accordingly. I'm torn between going to a 31x10.50x15 - or moving to a 265/75/16 - which is essentially a 32x10.50. Thoughts? (FYI - I'm leaning on the Maxxis Bighorn)

New control arms *required* to run 4.5" lift?

I'm wanting to piece together a 4.5" lift and was wondering what the minimum components would be to make this happen. Are new control arms *required*? thx-

    Reader's Rig's

Thx! I'm not a huge fan of this lift though, and the more I read about OMEs sagging with frequent full flexing the more I want to get the RE lift on. (and yes I'm running the appropriate length bumpstops) The rear rides very stiff (but I would guess any AAL would), and one of my front springs...

    Reader's Rig's

Thx, that was my first real run after getting it built up. I was pretty pleased. 3" lift (OME lift + spacer and JKS 1" lift shackle) wheels and tires from Rubicon (31s) DetoursUSA rear bumper/tire carrier DetoursUSA sliders Hanson front winch bumper m8000 winch w/ rockstomper rope JKS quicker...

    33x12.5-15 vs 285/75-16

If I was doing a lot of rocks BFGs wouldn't be my first choice, but free is free. Run 'em! In order of sidewall strength... Swamper, MTR, BFG
