I know this is a bad Idea, but......

Well I'm thinking this isn't a horrible idea. It's not any worse than running a locker. No more stress than normal. And it is like a selectable with a manual disconnect switch.

I know this is a bad Idea, but......

 Where's the update? I've wondered the same thing. I'd have to run a manual disconnect cable though. You would just have to be careful with the load on your front axle. And if I'm right your left wheel would always be spinning in 4wheel drive even if the disconnect wasn't engaged? I am...

    Running hot, is it toast?

Well it's running good now. Bleed the coolant and it's finally pumping water. It's running like a champ. Now I just need to get new o2 sensors, weld up the exhaust, and fix my cracked headers. Thanks for the help.

    Running hot, is it toast?

Yeah I'm going to do a compression test and bleed the cooling system as soon as my buddy shows up with his test set. Thanks for the fast responses.

    Running hot, is it toast?

Well here is what I did. I bought a rolled 99 XJ to use for parts for my 91 with no motor. I was a little worried about it being a rolled vehicle when I bought it. Wasn't able to drive it much but the thing started up and idled like a champ. I was able to drive it around the yard and into the...

Which wire for fuel-pump kill switch...?

A ground interrupt will work fine. You can have all the power in the world going back, but unless you have a ground nothing is happening. The only reason I would use a power wire is because it is located right beside the driver's seat. I don't think the ground is.

I told you not to play with matches.

    Just got a '99. suggestions?

Yeah that is some serious coin in rims there. I did the same thing with my graduation money. Except I bought a 69 Roadrunner.

    Help! Electrical disaster, turn signals/hazards/dash....

Yeah it sounds like a ground issue. I would maybe find a ground wire in the system and splice a new ground in if you can't find anything.

    side trim...removal?

Oh people and their views of what WD-40 really is. I agree with the person that posted "Goof Off". Great stuff.

    Wrecked '90 XJ

Well I just routed a new wiring harness and on the 99's the ground for the fuel pump was in the back behind the spare tire mount. Check that out maybe. Sounds like a bad ground. Have you checked your fuel pump relay? You could try swapping one of the other relays with it and see if you can at...
