Thanks for the input everyone. I ended up selling the jeep this morning with a bill of sale stating it's not smogged and buyer assumes responsibility. Signed, dated, and photographed with licenses next to it.
I'm selling my 1993 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4x4. It runs but cannot move due to a grenaded rear differential and will need to be towed upon purchase. I live in Santa Barbara but the vehicle is in Camarillo.
$1,000 OBO and buyer tows and smogs.
I'm looking for a quick sale before I have to junk it and...
Awesome, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I found the DMV's release of liability form and plan on writing up a brief bill of sale stating that it's not smogged if it comes down to it.
Cheers
Hey yall,
I haven't posted here in years mostly because I haven't wheeled in years. I'm in a catch-22 and was hoping to get some insight in how I can sell or get rid of my jeep.
I have a built XJ currently sitting an hour away from where I live and it can't move due to me blowing up the rear...
Ok I'm at a loss at where to go from here. A recap of what I have done:
Fuel:
-Gas at tailpipe.
-Noid light flashing when cranking. Used a GM PFI noid light.
-Starting fluid in intake produces no change in cranking sound.
-Removed spark plugs and aired engine for a day to evaporate any leftover...
Would a bad ground cause the vehicle to not start one day after it was working the previous one?
Just finished messing with the jeep:
Battery is good.
Starter fluid had no effect so I guess it's not a fuel issue.
Spark plug had a blue->white with a reddish hue spark coming from it...I'm not...
