    Renix Engine Coolant System Updates

I have issues with my 1990 Wagoneer overheating as I climb grades when in warm weather despite a recent coolant system flush and fill. The previous owner was diligent in maintaining this Jeep, but I do not have a full history of what had been serviced. I decided that the best approach would be...

Greg Smith Power door locks writeup PRE-1991

I just completed this project and my 1990 locks work like new. I can offer assistance and even take photos. It really is not a difficult project once you understand which wires are involved. I cut in to the existing red wire for power, and did not pull in a new power source. Have you purchased...

    Renix TV Cable Concern

Interesting. Thank you for the p/n research. I am going to purposely drive and test my kick-down functionality. It seems, from the limited focus that I have given it, that the kickdown only works when I stomp on the pedal. Is yours less effort.

    Renix TV Cable Concern

Yes, no carpeted or rubber floor mat in place. Have tried at gas pedal as well as under the hood. The plunger just does not move even a millimeter. Yes, the transmission will kick down when I stomp on the gas. I am guessing that my cable and assembly is just worn out after 207K miles?

    Renix TV Cable Concern

I have watched all available videos on adjusting the TV cable, and fully understand the procedure. I have performed this on multiple occasions. The result is always the same. Nothing changes. The mechanism, after depressing the throttle pedal to the floor, does not move outward. Ever. Now, to be...

    Automatic Shifter Allignment

Just wanted to share with the group that I finally determined how to adjust the automatic transmission shift cable at the transmission. It is actually quite easy. Anyone interested is welcome to contact me to discuss.

Interesting. My non-starting, or shutting off episodes are typically when the engine is cold or not warmed up. It has happened once when warmed up. Thankfully, it has not yet happened in traffic or an intersection.

    Renix Computer Demon

Can someone explain to me why there would exist a high-altitude version CPS? The CPS just creates a voltage pulse as it passes over a magnet(s) on the flywheel, correct? How does altitude affect this?

I am using a Fluke meter. Are you suggesting that I live with this new CPS and let time determine if it no longer triggers the ECU to not fire the injectors and coil?

OK, I just finished replacing the CPS. It was actually not as difficult as I had imagined. My existing CPS was reading .18 to .2 volts AC. I purchased a NAPA Echlin p/n CSS980. I installed it and immediatley took a voltage measurement- .22 volts AC! Everything I read states that this is common...
