My brother in law just called me and let me know one of the XJ guys in his group broke the power steering pump off the frame. It has zero ability to turn. They are on a fire road between Cleghorn and Pilot rock in an accessible location. I would drive up and help if I still lived in the SoCal...
I might be joining you. I started my own business and as it grew California felt more and more led to step and kill my profits. The better I do the more I owe. I was shocked this last tax season on what percent I was paying in taxes on my business. It's becoming VERY difficult to make a decent...
That link was perfect and I actually know the guy that purchased it. he tried to buy it a while back when I owned it. Know I need to reverse that scenario and hope it works out for me.
Wow!!! I'm shocked you ended up with it. That is awesome!!. I'm very glad it went to somebody i have actually met and will appreciate and wheel it. You mentioned the shocks might need to be replaced. They only had about 1500 miles on them when I sold it and should now only have 5000 miles on...
I was hopeful that the guy I sold it to, would sell it back to me when he was done with it. The timing just didn't work out for that to happen. Not sure the new owner has any interest in selling it, but I figured I would at least give it a shot before I went down a different path. Not sure if I...
I just sold my built LX450 and picked up a bone stock LX470. It's not really ever going to be a trail rig. I need to find a dedicated trail rig so I can keep my wife's LX470 nice a pretty. I want my XJ back. Anyone know who has it? The guy I sold it to sold it and I don't know who he sold it to...
I helped Johnny C find a tire in that size over on mud. That is a VERY common tire size for the non lifted 80's. there are a lot of guys over there that have them. Look through the for sale adds and you should find some success.
That's a super common size in the 80 series Land Cruiser world. most guys run that size on their stockers. Maybe this thread will help you. If anything pops up I will pass it on.

Good to know. Please shoot me a PM when/if it goes back on the market. I would like to get back into an XJ some day and I have not been able to find one as good as my old one. It was everything I wanted and nothing more.
