After messing around a bit, I learned that the 1994 has an adjustable brake light switch, so thanks for all the replies. What happened to MadXJ's website?
I have a 1994 XJ without cruise control or ABS. I got the Booster and master cylinder from a 1996 XJ. The problem I have now is that the brake lights are on because the rod is about 1/4" too short to activate the brake light switch. Any suggestions?
Quick question before I go to the salvage yard... is a 1996 XJ's high pressure hose for A/C identical to the high pressure hose on a 1994? Does ABS affect the hoses?
I checked under the hood and it said R134a on the firewall and the radiator. It has never been serviced in the time I've owned the XJ, which has been since 2003.
I got the A/C recharge kit and hooked it up to the low pressure hose per instructions. Then the stuff started coming out of the high pressure and now air isn't being blown out of the vents with the force it had beforehand. What is happening? The heat index is abut 113 here today, I'm a little...
I have a 1994 XJ with the 4.0L. On Wednesday the a/c worked like a charm. When I started it on Thursday, it only blows air. I searched the threads and couldn't find anything besides squeeking condensors, mines not squeeking. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks.
The method I used to take the studs out was the grind down the sides of the stud, thus giving it a squared shape versus the roundness, this allowed me to get a better grip with the vise grips or you could use a wrench.
how did it get disconnected, the only bolts i took out were to the transmission drain pan and the bolt on the flexplate housing for the transmission dipstick.
I recently changed my transmission fluid, now I have a hose hanging and I have no idea where the end goes. There isn't any fluids dripping out. Is it a breather hose? The other end of the hose goes between the transmission and the transfer case, I can't see exactly what it connects to...
I found their site, but it doesn't seem like the bumpstops they have will work. Do you remember what you ordered? Here's the link I found, click on BUMP STOPS:

thanks for the advice, but i already have 3 hockey pucks in on both sides.
I have the RE 6200 5.5" kit on with 35x12.50x15 BFG MT's on with Bushwacker fenders. I have the bumpstop that came with the RE 6200 kit plus 3 hockey pucks on both sides. The problem I am having is that when the tire is articulated upwards, it doesn't contact the upper bumpstop and thus is...
