All the power does go to the wheel that slips, a vast majority anyway. Its better than 2wd but not as good as a locking 4wd offroad. My friend had the 249 in his Grand Cherokee and swapped it for a 242. He kept his awd ability but now has a locking 4 high.

Removing the driveshaft wont help, but if you did remove the front one no fluid would come out.

I believe most cars are set up with some camber, which produces lateral forces on the tire. So any sort of missalignment or loose parts in the steering system could cause death wobble I suppose.
If I knew what fixed it, I could probably make a better guess.
I was wary about replacing the sleeve in mine, until I squirted a little pb blaster and it came out with no effort. I dont think you can torque the sleeve, but the ball joint nuts are like 80-90 ft-lbs I believe.
only do it if you have a traction bar, or if you only drive it on the street. I blocked mine and took it offroad and then replaced my S'd and inverted springs.
the upper is easy to place with the lower off, and then I usually get the lower on by controlling height with a floor jack and putting a bottle jack on top of the LCA and pushing the axle to where it needs to be.
