ya know i see pics of or beloved battle wagons beat the hell and tore up and it kinda gives me a warm and fuzzy that the ole girls just might take damn near anything, but sucks that some jackass kills off another one.

and yes i hope said jack ass and passenger recover fully.

big time ouch... this "cash for clunkers" is gonna kill the used XJ market, i know several million were made but this is still bad news, the XJ made number 7 on the list of the most popular vehicles to be traded in and crushed. :(

1. Ford F-Series
2. Ford Explorer
3. Chevrolet C/K/Silverado
4. Jeep Grand Cherokee
5. Dodge Ram
6. Chevrolet Blazer
7. Jeep Cherokee
8. Dodge Grand Caravan
9. Dodge Dakota
10. Ford Ranger

poor old girl. it kills me to see this happening to MJs and XJs.

my 88 has 200xxx miles on 'er and ill be damned if i trade 'er for a cobalt, or anything like it.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MJ guy gave a bunch of stupid reasons to get rid of it ... no headliner and he used bondo? So what?

well at least WE can say that our jeeps have be used. they have been off road be it a family camping event, hard wheeling and in some of our XJs cases humanitarian recovery missions.

WE know and our jeeps tell it all.

:D

Yeah I really hate that when I saw it. I hate that the Jeep Grand Cherokee and XJ are on the list, b/c I've been looking for a 5.9 for awhile and they're hard enough to find already, without the risk of them being traded in!

And I also want to own another 99 or '00-01 XJ at some point.

But my biggest beef with the whole gov't program is that rather than donating the cars to a worthy cause (battered women, etc) they would rather permanently kill them off when they are perfectly good and useable...

:scared::scared::scared::scared: What else is there to say...
