EYES

well I was in my metal shop class today and while I was working on my piece I happened to look over to the welding area. Just as I glanced over a kid started MIG welding. The red tarp like shield was off to one side and I could see the blue light being omited. It was only for a brief second.

I dont have any blured vision, black spots, or anything like that, however my right eye is aching a little bit (but it may be me just thinking about it too much seeming worse then it is)

I just wanted to check and see if I should be worried about any potential damage or problems, and what symptoms to look for if something is wrong

Cut a raw potato in half and put it on the eye. I dought you burned it but in all the potato will draw any heat from the eye...

well this happened like 30 mins ago

That is "welders flash"

Nothing to worry about, but it will probably feel even more itchy and scratchy tonight, don't rub it, leave it alone, all should be fine in 24 - 48 hours

Concur. You're going to feel a bit odd - not from the bright light, but the intense UV generated (cf. "welder's tan.")

You'll be fine in a day or so, none the worse for wear. Trust me... It's happened to me as well!
