Just curious if anyone here is tight with forest service and could give some knowledge on what they look for to open trails up. Damage, run off, snow, rainfall...... when/ what gives the green light to open the gates.

Thanks :D

What trails. He go/no go checklist is different per ranger district given the difference in issues for their specific areas.

Im mostly interested in RNF Canyon Lakes and Boulder County.

Is this checklist something I can monitor on a website or call in to a ranger station and acquire?
Im just trying to educate myself on what goes into opening these trails, as much time is spent maintaining these places.

for example, one trail that has been closed for years is West White pine, ide be curious to find out if it'll ever re-open, or if one can monitor the progress in its rehabilitation.

Yep call the associated ranger district and ask. If it’s been closed for a while, very good chance it’s staying that way, especially around boulder.
