Awesomesauce. Nice shot...

Got my shackle boxes and axle shims installed. Also removed the rear sway bar.

The plasma cutter made short work of the old boxes.

The plate had to be trimmed to clear on the passenger side like so.

Damn close to the bumper bolts, we backed them out a bit and tightened them back up after the box was in.

We slotted the holes so we didn't have to completely remove my hitch.

This was the drivers plate, it needed a bit more trimming with that hump over there.

All in all it went well, we did this, axle shims, and removed the rear sway bar in about 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Great ride/drive-ability improvements so far!

FYI, I didn't care about my carpet, so I didn't mind drilling through. I may eventually put something for tie down points on the top of the plates.

So I'm running 34x12.50s at the moment and have been contemplating saving for new tires as I'm getting close to needing a NEW set. I'm torn between 33s and 35s. I'm not one of those guys who HAS to go bigger just because, and with my gears (still need to install) and lift I could run either. Down side to 33's I'm seeing is the height loss, and downside to 35's is the clearance loss that would require bump stopping....hmmm this is going to take some thinkin'!
