Sold my 88 4runner POS 2 weeks back, picked up this XJ today.

8.25, yay!

Yes its 2wd :hs: but I wanted another 5spd and wanted one that was really clean. That trumped my desire for 4wd that I won't use often (Texas is too flat), and it can always be converted later.

Glad to be back in the XJ game

welcome back John :D

Let me know next time you come out to LA to visit your folks, I'll buy the first round.

Thanks Mike

The folks just moved out to Idaho, but I still have plenty of reasons to come back, wheeling being one of them.

Picked up a set of BFG A/T's on Eagle 5 star's today for 150 bucks. 30x9.50x15's with about 50% tread left.

Those should hold me over till the big lift at bonus time.

So the 30's were rubbing when turning... so I had to :D

Daystar 1 3/4" poly spacers up front, Rocky Road 1.5" shackles in the rear. and I pulled the center caps, think it looks better that way.

I found some TJ Moabs for a price I couldn't pass up.

Then the parents got me some tires for them for Christmas.

Done a lot of work to it lately. Pulled the side molding that was coming off anyways, replaced the headliner, did a radiator. Been daily driving this thing and I love it. I drive it more often than my 2011 WRX that I make payments on!

Plasti dipped the lower body.

Finished the plasti dip project, came inside, ate lunch and browsed craigslist. Found a yard that had an 04 Grand Cherokee they just got in, Limited with dark grey leather seats

So now I have the fronts installed.

Added a Gentex 177 mirror with temp and compass. Rather than making my own harness, I got one off Amazon for about the same price all the wiring would have cost me. And it included a temp sensor.
