Problems logging in

Is there a problem - or is it just me?

You keep failing to recognise my password, even when moving between forum when, for some reason, I'm told I'm not logged in - so have to start again.

Sometimes, when I've had to lie about having forgotten my password - to get back in to change it back to what is already is, even the "new" password you've generated isn't recognised.

I know I've been away for a while but all this nonsense doesn't make me feel very welcome. Must admit, having just discovered another XJ forum, am seriously considering defecting but every time I try to log in & can't, I think "I'll just give it one more try"!

You permissions are all correct... Look at your browser settings. Your cookie setting might need to be changed.

What browser are you running? I noticed mine (MAC) sometimes does that (Firefox) Safari never does it.

If I go to the naxja.org front page and login from there, when I go to the forum, I have to login again. It has been that way for years. I just link directly to the forum and rarely see the front page.

It sounds like your browser or your adware software is preventing cookies for the site.

If there was a forum issue, I think more than one person would have the issue.

Another thing to check that I've had problems with in the past is if you authenticate to http://naxja.org, but then go to http://www.naxja.org, your browser thinks it's a different site (but the site itself only remembers where you are), so it feels like you're never logged in if you end up jumping back and forth a lot. Most of the links use the full www.naxja.org address so I would try and stick to that.

If you watch the URL bar when you login vs when you notice you start having problems, you should be able to see if this is the case.
