The only way to get on the trail quicker is to have a cutoff time for folks to be ready. If they don't make the cutoff, they get left behind. Period. Stop check-in and tech 30 minutes prior to driver meeting. Maybe set up a "second chance" check-in/tech at lunch time.

I also like this. Seems like if you make an actual hard deadline that has to be met, people will make it a greater priority.

I actually drove from an hour away and still go up there with an hour to go. The hard cut off time isn't that bad of a thing. If I had knew that registration/tech would have been open later, I would have gotten something to eat before though. Next time I come to WF, I will be staying in Attica in some way.
